Q. Can I add more handsets to my system?
A. You can have up to 6 handsets registered to one base. To purchase additional handsets contact Oricom Customer Support.
Q. The talk and standby time on my handsets has reduced, what is wrong?
A. With use the battery life will reduce. How quickly that happens depends on how the batteries are used and charged. If after a full charge of 14 hours you only get a short amount of talk and standby time, replace the batteries with the same type and capacity as was supplied with the handset. If you have difficulty or are unsure about obtaining batteries contact Oricom Customer Support, they will be able to advise or supply replacement batteries.
Q. My answering machine does not answer calls correctly.
A. Check the number of devices you have connected to the line, try removing some and re test the answering machine. Also listen to the line with your handset and see if you can hear any crackling or other interference, this may indicate a low line signal level which will make it hard for the answering machine to ‘hear’ the ring. Check that if you have ADSL or ADSL2+ that you have a suitable line filter installed on every device connected to the telephone line.
Q. I hear a lot of interference on my telephone when making or receiving calls, what is wrong?
A. DECT cordless phones are free from interference, any interference is probably introduced from the phone line or other source. If you have ADSL or ADSL2+ ensure you have suitable line filters installed on every device connected to the phone line. You should also ensure that the handset and base are located away from other electronic devices such as computers, televisions, microwave ovens and fridges.
Q. The new event LED is constantly flashing, how do I stop it.
A. The event LED flashes when you have new calls in your calls list, or messages on your voicemail service. Review the calls in the missed and/or new calls lists, also check for messages on your Home Messages 101 or Messagbank service. Once these have been reviewed the LED will stop flashing.
Q. My handset shows SEARCHING and I cannot make or receive phone calls how do I fix it.
A. When your handset shows SEARCHING it means it is looking for the base. Try moving closer to the base, if this does not fix the problem perform a reset. To do this, remove the batteries from your handsets. Unplug the power supply and telephone line cord from the base. Leave them like this for 15 minutes. Then plug the power supply and telephone line cord back in and re install your handset batteries. If this does not rectify the problem the handset may have lost its registration to the base. Please refer to your user guide for the instructions on how to re register your handsets to the base.

Value Quality Price I got this little gem for $67 + $7 postage from Crazy Sales. Good, Large Backlit & easy to read display. The buttons are large enough to easily press. You can turn off the key tone, it has 9 one touch speed-dials, can be set for call intrusion - so no fiddly things to use both handsets at once to talk to an external caller. It has intercom between phones. You can dump the phone book from one phone to the next -- wow I am very pleased with this phone so far. I had to use some blue tack to stick the remote charger to the bedside table as it is so light it slides around. You can set callers into 3 different groups with different melodies. It has great range -- and now the MOST IMPORTANT part -- it has great clarity for transmission & reception -- and you can even boost the volume on the reception for a call. 37 years as a Telecommunications Technician -- and I am impressed. (The only mistake I made was not buying a 3rd handset!) In a word -- BRILLIANT! (Posted on 7/10/11)

Quality Price Value This is my first oricom product and to date all has worked well, however i do a havea question or suggestion re the wall mount bracket. Is there a cap/plug supplied to mask the silver screw that is visible when the product is wall mounted?thanks leonie (Posted on 3/06/10)
