Nursery room temperature monitoring with alarm function
This feature alerts you to any significant change in temperature in your baby’s room, this is important as your baby cannot yet regulate its own body temperature, and a change could make your baby uncomfortable and disturb his or her rest.
Clock with alarm function
You can set the Display of the Parent Unit to show the current time. You will need to set the clock if you wish to use Feed Timer feature.
High definition sound
With no distortion what so ever, you can clearly hear every breath, giggle and burp your baby has to share.
Adjustable digital volume control
Adjust the volume level as needed; now you control how much you hear from your baby’s room, soft breathing, a giggle or the little ones cry.

FAQ SC500
Q. How many parent units can I have with the one baby unit?
A. you are only able to have one parent unit
Q. My parent unit is beeping at me
A. This could be that the batteries need to be recharged, place the parent unit on the
charger to recharge the batteries. You could also be out of range of the baby unit, try moving closer to the baby unit.
Q. My parent unit is beeping and showing low batt
A. The batteries need to be recharged, place the unit back on the charger
Q. I can’t hear any noise coming through the parent unit, why?
A. Check that the sensitivity is correctly set on the parent unit and that the volume is set to a suitable level.
Q. The temperature is flashing and beeping all the time, why?
A. This is showing you that the temperature is out of the set range either too high or too low
And if the unit is beeping then the temperature alert is set to on. If you set the alert to off
Then the beeping will stop and only the temperature will flash.
Q. The parent unit won’t turn on, why?
A. take out the batteries from the parent unit and turn off the baby monitor – leave it off
For 1 hour and then reconnect the unit. Are the batteries fully charged– try a full recharge of 14 hours.
Q. My Batteries are not lasting the recommend hours, why?
A. Check the date of purchase as the batteries may need to be replaced. It is also advisable to leave parent unit off the charger and let batteries run until you hear the low battery warning when in normal use.
Q. the screen is blank, why?
A. Try a reset on the unit, take out the batteries out of the handset and the power from the baby unit. leave it like this for 12 hours and then reconnect the power and install the batteries.
Q. Can I wall mount the baby monitor?
A. yes the unit can be wall mounted.
Q. Will vibration alert work with volume on?
A. No you must turn off volume on parent unit so Vibration alert will work.

Price Value Quality We're really happy with the customer service we received from Oricom. We purchased the Secure500 baby monitor and when it arrived in the post, the baby unit and parent unit wouldn't link up. We contacted Oricom Support immediately and within a week they had repaired our baby monitor and returned it to us.
We love our Oricom Secure500 baby monitor - it's clarity sounds as though the baby is in the same room as us when it's in a completely seperate room in the house and we can do so much remotely without going into the babies room.

Price Value Quality This monitor is great. Inexpensive compared to the brands in the major retailers and baby shops. Comes with all the features you need and simple to use even my 3yr old can put the music and light on easily. Love the MP3 input to play the music you want to hear. Price Value Quality i have a 35 percent bilateral hearing loss and due to the products bright sensor lights a high volume, when my husband is away at work i can hear my baby and feel at ease. I have a question though. Can i have two separate mintors running in my house in two different rooms? I am due another baby soon and will need another monitor. Thanks (Posted on 6/07/11)

Price Value Quality Good unit. Better than the other ones we have seen an heard. Low/no static and sound still good enough to hear baby breath and move. Great feature that allows you to plug in MP3 player. Nice and easy to travel with except baby unit does not work from battery and parent unit light never worked but will buy still buy it. Quality Price Value We would absolutely recommend the Secure500 Premium Digital Baby Monitor. We've had ours for nearly 2 years and it's still working as if we just bought it. We bought it to replace a monitor that was picking up interference and noise and we have not had a single problem with the Secure500. Love that it gives room temp, can turn on/off night light and music from the parent unit without having to go into the room and that we can speak/soothe our child from the parent unit. Heard all the stories about monitors picking up phone conversations, but we have had no trouble with this one. Review by Pauline
Quality Price Value Sound is very clear & the built in lullabies are great.
Only annoying thing was getting feedback (squeal) when unintentionally moving the parent unit too close to the baby unit whilst it is on. Not a good sound!! Only did it once, but it would have been good to be warned about it.
Only improvement I could suggest, is maybe a better belt clip set up for when you need to move around with it, maybe a lanyard?? (Posted on 4/04/10) -

Quality Price Value Highly recommend this DIGITAL monitor, it has all the little extra's.
Love everything about it, we just bought this to replace a monitor that drove us crazy with static, this monitor has great reception, the only noises I hear are the ones my baby makes.
I love that it tells me her room temp (especially on hot days) & that I can turn the nightlight & music on & off without entering the room. Another plus it looks good.
