I inherited an old analogue baby monitor from my sister-I thought the static buzz was normal and never used it. At age 2 our son had an unexpected fear/anxiety stage. I purchased the groclock -made no difference. He would wake up screaming. Then we moved into a much largerbhouse and I really needed a monitor so this product was recommended....well our son loves it, the stars, the lullabies and most importantly the talkback. Now when he wakes he calls quietly mummy walkie talkie and we play a game-he wakes up happy and he doesn't have the same fear going to bed as he knows we come as we can hear him. Love it-one of my top three baby must haves! I only wish I could buy one with two baby room sets and one parent handset as I currently have two- one for baby and one for toddler. After 3 years of trouble free use of the montor i had small issue with the base unit power lead. When i contacted Oricon they sent a replacement lead and it was received within 2 days, no fuss. So it is not only a great product, it is also peace of mind knowing you will also get great customer service if you do have a problem.

Our baby boy is the most important thing in our lives & so we want to make sure that we can be near him as soon he shows any signs of distress. This fantastic monitor allows me to hang the washing on the line & know I will not miss anything. I particularly like the temperature function as his room was not previously used & we can adjust his comfort level quickly. The lullabies help him fall asleep a treat! I had been through 2 different brands of monitors through only 1yr of our first born and had to buy another one.. I researched to find the best brand and oricom was it. This has been the best thing that I have brought so far. There is no static.. beautiful music. Great temperature readings and you can hear every little movement. We have has multiple monitors but always found the static annoying and distracting.
We tried the Oricom on the recommendation of the staff at Baby Bunting and are very very happy with the sound quality.
We have had some minor issue with the batteries but Oricom happily and quicly replaced these, also find that the temprature sensor is not quite accurate.

My wife and I are so impressed with the Secure 200 Digital monitor, I felt compelled to post a review. We became parents for the first time 8 weeks ago, and the monitor has been such a huge help. By far and away the best feature is the ability to talk through the monitor to settle our baby, instead of going into the room every time. This is the first and only monitor we have owned! It is reliable and the numerous warning systems are invaluable,giving immediate warning to any loss of ocmmunication with baby. This machine is also very travel friendly, goes where ever we go! (Posted on 18/07/10)

Dont waste your time looking around just get yourself an Oricom. This is my third monitor, my first would buzz unless you placed it on the floor 5 steps away from the bed to the right of the ensuite door! The second was actually really good but the parents monitor started to drop out constantly. So I brought the oricom, I did no research just saw it and liked the that it used digital frequency.
No regrets you see with this monitor I can adjust the level of sensitivity so I don't have hear every noise coming through the monitor just the really loud cries and this saves me leaping out of bed in the middle of the night for a simple whimper, also the volume is more realistic and natural. Some baby monitors make the volume sooo loud that when a baby cries it's scary!

The night light and music that can be turned on from the parents unit is a bonus as is the built in torch.

The distance the unit picks up is great, I go visit my neighbour across the rd and can take the parents unit with me with no drop outs.

My husband spent a lot of time researching and ended up choosing the oricom secure 200 from bubsngrubs - got it overnight and it was the best safety device we have bought or our baby - we had previous baby monitors cause us so much grief but the oricom is perfect in every way! (Posted on 7/01/10)

We went through a few monitors before researching them online. Our old ones worked OK, but only had a couple of channels and the static was horrible. This one has 120 channels and the technology (DECT) avoids interference and static. The product has given me peace of mind that I will be able to hear my son at night.
